About Our Herbal Teas

Our herbal teas & tisanes are hand-crafted with the highest quality ingredients using recipes that we created ourselves. Outlined below is a summarized reference and brewing instructions. Click the links to learn about Raindrop Remedies' ingredient selection, intention, and more.

By the way, our new white rice paper bags are compostable! Enjoy your tea AND help keep Mother Earth healthy too!

To clarify on TISANE = herbal blend that has no actual tea leaves in it. Like chamomile or peppermint "teas".

Always make sure that you mix the contents of bag to ensure contents have not settled.

  • INFUSIONS are created by pouring water over more delicate plant material, typically leaves and flowers, and seeping for a short time. For infusions, use a reusable tea bag or a strainer in a cup with your tea blend, and pour water over the top to steep. Remove and enjoy!
  • DECOCTIONS are preparations of sturdier plant parts, such as roots and barks, simmered in water for a longer time to extract the medicinal properties of the plant. For decoctions, add water to a pot and add your herbs. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes on low. Remove from heat, strain through a strainer, and enjoy!

A-Choo! Seasonal Allergy Tisane -

Intention: seasonal allergies

This is a stimulant-free herbal tea blend to ease seasonal sensitivities, and to put a pause on the sneezes!

Ingredients: Nettle, Mullein, Elder flower, Holy Basil, and Fenugreek

Brew:  Infusion.  Add about two teaspoons of our herbal blend with eight ounces of hot (not boiling) water. Infuse for about 3-5 minutes, and then strain out the herbs.

**For best results, drink 1-2 cups per day during times when you are most sensitive to seasonal changes.

Chest Congestion Tea -

Intention:  wet coughs, congestion in chest and sinus, and feeling of 'stuffiness'.

The herbs selected for our Chest Congestion herbal tea are intended to assist with thinning out excess mucus and getting it out (expectorate).  When sick, it's important to stay hydrated. Drinking warm fluids like tea is comforting and will help alleviate stuffiness.  You don't want to dry the mucus (then it gets stuck - yuck!), you want to get it out.  Try it with a tad of honey and it's even more yummy!

Ingredients: Marshmallow Root, Ginger Root, Mullein Leaf,  Echinacea Leaf, Licorice Root, Fenugreek, Thyme, Peppermint, and Horehound.

Brew:  Infusion. Add about two teaspoons of our herbal blend with eight ounces of hot (not boiling) water. Infuse for about 3-5 minutes, and then strain out the herbs.

For best results, drink 1-3 cups per day when needed.

Chill Out, Yo! -

Intention: Calming but not sleepy.

As Ice Cube wisely said, "You better check yo self before you wreck yo self!" Grab a cup or two of Chill Out, Yo! when you are feeling a bit cra-cra and you gotta chill out and go with the flow.

Our Best Selling Tea!!

Ingredients: Chamomile, Nettle, Lemon Balm, and Lavender

Brew:  Infusion. Add about two teaspoons of our herbal blend with eight ounces of hot (not boiling) water. Infuse for about 3-5 minutes, and then strain out the herbs.

Feel Better Chai -

Intention: A healthy Chai (spiced tea) that is also caffeine free.

When you are feeling “off” or on the edge of a cold, brew a cup of our Feel Better Chai. It is full of herbs that support overall health and wellbeing, is packed with vitamins and minerals, and herbs traditionally used for digestive and respiratory health.*  And you can drink it in the evening without worrying about stimulants like caffeine and sugar.

Chai is the Hindi word for spiced tea. Traditional chai is usually made by boiling black tea in milk, with many strong spices and herbs, and sugar.  So tasty! Our Feel Better Chai has all of the flavors, just not the caffeine from the black tea.  Feel free to add black tea and brew it in milk if you want that: lots of options here!

Ingredients: Orange Peel, Cinnamon, Ginger Root, Astragalus, Oregon Grape Root, Echinacea Root & Leaf, Rose Hips, Marshmallow Root, Fennel, Cardamom, Licorice Root, Cloves, Allspice Berries, and Peppercorns.

Use: Decoction. Add about 1-2 teaspoons of our herbal blend and simmer on low for about 5-10 minutes, and then strain out the herbs via a mesh strainer or cheesecloth.

You can use Feel Better Chai as a tisane on its own, or add black tea, milk and honey if you want to create classic, healthy 'Chai'. Options!

For a more traditional Chai:  use milk instead of water, add 1 teaspoon black tea, and about 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup. Whisk well, and simmer on very low heat for 5-10 minutes, then strain out herbs.

Jolly Joints -

Intention:   Joint health and inflammation

After my knee surgery, my joints and bones ached. It took quite a while to recover because my knee kept swelling up with fluid.  Jolly Joints was created to help me through my recovery, and I found it effective when I drank it regularly. Today, I still reach for a cup of this tasty tisane when I can feel weather changes in my bones. Jolly for the taste buds and the joints! *

Ingredients: Holy Basil, Nettle, Oatstraw, Lemongrass, Rooibos Leaf, Prickly Ash Bark, Willow Bark, and Ginger

Brew:  Infusion. Add about two teaspoons of our herbal blend with eight ounces of hot (not boiling) water. Infuse for about 3-5 minutes, and then strain out the herbs.

Slim-T Detox -

Intention:  Digestive Aid, Lymphatic Support, Constipation, Gas, Gentle Detox

Slim-T Detox is a herbal tea blend (tisane) to aid lymphatic and digestive systems with their normal processes. Alterative herbs can support your body's own natural processes and can assist with correcting imbalances, opening up channels of elimination, optimizing nutrition, and thus strengthening your body to work as it is designed to. Less bloating makes you feel slimmer.

Alteratives must be taken regularly to be truly effective, but fortunately they can be obtained through multiple sources, including a healthy and hydrated diet with fresh, real food and drinking plenty of good, clean water.  Slim-T Detox can help to flush out lymphatic and digestive systems, but you need to start with a good hydrated diet first

When considering any detoxification programs, it's very important to drain first, then detox. Drink plenty of water!

Ingredients: Green Tea, Peppermint, Orange Peel, Chickweed, Cleavers, Dandelion Root, Fennel, Burdock Root, Cinnamon, Nettle, Red Clover, and Cascara Sagrada

Vertigo Sucks! Herbal Tea -

Intention: Vertigo, dizzy-feelings, anti-nausea, circulation

If you are prone to getting vertigo, you know how bad it sucks to get it!  Our Vertigo Sucks herbal tea (tisane) is caffeine-free, so you can take it any time of day. *

Vertigo is not a disease, but a symptom of something else that is out of balance.  It's important to recognize what your triggers are.

For me, my triggers for vertigo are stress, dehydration, and really tight shoulder, neck and/or clavicle muscles.  I tend to feel off for a few days before the vertigo hits: somewhat like those 1980's commercials for V8 where everyone is tilted sideways.  If I load up on water, Vertigo Sucks tisane, and work on the stiff muscles (stretching and/or acupuncture), I am usually successful with not having a bout of the vertigo spins.

The herbs included are historically known for increasing circulation, reducing nausea, are high in antioxidants, and are anti-inflammatory.

Ingredients: Ginger Root, Gingko Biloba, Hawthorn leaf and flower, Gotu Kola, Peppermint, Fenugreek, Thyme

Brew: Infusion. Add about two teaspoons of our herbal blend with eight ounces of hot (not boiling) water. Infuse for about 3 minutes, and then strain out the herbs

Work Perk -

Just the energy boost that you were looking for.

Now get back to work! :)
