Woodland Breeze Face & Body Cream

Intention: Face Cream that is hydrating, healing, and healing.

Our Woodland Breeze face and body lotion, with aromas of white pine, fir, frankincense and lavender …is like a quiet walk in the forest… Gentle enough for your face, but hydrating enough for very dry skin too.

Ingredients: Rice Bran Oil, White Pine, Aloe Vera, Vegetable Emulsifying Wax, Tallow, Sodium Borate (Borax), Geogard ECT,  Xanthum Gum, Vitamin E Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, Alcohol, Essential Oil blend (Fir, Lavender, Frankincense), Water, Citric Acid

Why We Chose These Ingredients:

• White Pine - smells like a walk in the forest, antiseptic, calming
• Rice Bran Oil - antioxidants; emollient;  improves skin moisture
• Tallow -   traditional fat used in soap making that is rendered from healthy pasture-raised cows from rural WNY; high oleic, palmitic and stearic acids; is very similar to our skin sebum/fat;  is very hydrating for hair, and is rich in fat soluble vitamins and minerals
• Aloe Vera - We use organic commercially prepared aloe because fresh aloe will spoil within about a week without preservatives, even if refrigerated
• Citric Acid - naturally occurring acid found in fruits, lowers pH to discourage microbial growth, food safe
• Xanthum Gum - thickening agent used as a carrier of citric and ascorbic acids, food safe
• Vegetable Emulsifying Wax - odorless white waxy substance used to help emulsify (combine incompatible solutions like water and oil)
• Sodium Borate (Borax) - a naturally occurring mineral that dissolves into water, reducing surface tension and softening it. When used with wax, sodium borate will help emulsify (bind) oils and water. It also has mild antibacterial and antifungal properties. We use less than 5% in our formulas.
• Geogard ECT - A natural preservative used in personal care products. This antimicrobial blend offers protection against Gram positive and negative bacteria, yeast and molds. It is comprised of (4) ingredients: Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, and Sorbic Acid.
• Apple Cider Vinegar and Alcohol - used to extract properties out of the white pine needles. They both aid in preserving product as well with their antimicrobial properties.
• Vitamin E Oil - fat-soluble vitamin, antioxidants, helps create barrier to keep skin moisture in, helps to preserve product by preventing oxidation (breakdown) of oils
• Essential Oil blend - chosen for their scent, healing and anti-inflammatory
  • Lavender essential oil - moisturizing, non-comedogenic for pores, antibacterial
  • Fir essential oil - grounding, calming and stabilizing effects on mood
  • Frankincense essential oil - boosts circulation
