Intention: Cooling soap bar for summer season
Our Salt & Clay Sea Bar is a mineral rich body soap that is just wonderful after a hot, sweaty day! Good for oiler skin types also.
This coconut oil based soap contains no olive oil, for those of you who may have sensitivities to olive oil and would like to try handcrafted soap!
Two sizes available: Standard 3-4 oz or Travel Size that is 2-3 oz
Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Water, Rice Bran Oil, Sea Salt (Celtic & Himalayan), Sodium Hydroxide (lye), Castor Oil, Cambrian Blue Clay, Peppermint Essential Oil
Why We Used These Ingredients:
- Coconut Oil - cleansing, high in vitamin C, high in lauric acid and antimicrobial
- Rice Bran Oil - nourishing and moisturizing
- Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) - a caustic/alkaline reagent that, when mixed with fats and water, will react (saponify) to create soap. Once cured, a properly made bar of soap will have no lye left in it when finished: it has been converted into soap.
- Sea Salt - reduces excess oil, essential minerals, exfoliating, improves circulation
- Cambrian Blue Clay - natural color, reduces excess oil, detox and exfoliating, minerals
- Peppermint Essential Oil - cooling, pleasant scent
Use: Gently rub wet soap in circular pattern on your body to stimulate circulation and exfoliate dead skin cells. Fully rinse skin. Please do not use on your face as the salt is not ground fine enough for delicate facial skin: try our Aloe & Pumice exfoliating Facial Soap instead.
