Sea Salt Brine Bar Soap

Intention:  Body Soap; available in Summer and Fall seasons only.

To create a cooling bar for hot summers that is gentle and refreshing. Our Sea Salt Brine Bar is brine bar, meaning that the salt is added to the lye and water phase, which results in a soap that is good for all skin types. Salt bars tend to be higher in salt (50% or more) and more drying and exfoliating, but brine bars are milder, have less salt, lather more, and are conditioning. Brine bars may be beneficial for acne, dermatitis, and bacterial or fungal issues.

Bar weight is 3 oz.

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Distilled Water, Sweet Almond Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (lye), Castor Oil, Sea Salt, Turmeric, and Essential Oils Sweet Orange & Grapefruit

Why We Used These Ingredients:

• Coconut Oil - cleansing, high in vitamin C, high in lauric acid and antimicrobial
  
• Olive Oil - antioxidants, oleic acids and polyphenols, moisturizing & creamy lather
• Sweet Almond Oil - high in Vitamin E; nourishing and moisturizing
• Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) - a caustic/alkaline reagent that, when mixed with fats and water,  will react (saponify) to create soap. Once cured, a properly made bar of soap will have no lye left in it when finished: it has been converted into soap.
  
• Castor Oil - improves lather, fatty acids, antibacterial, moisturizing
• Sea Salt - reduces excess oil, essential minerals, exfoliating, improves circulation
• Turmeric - anti-inflammatory, antioxidants, antimicrobial
• Essential Oils - pleasant scent

Use: Gently rub wet soap in circular pattern on your body to stimulate circulation and exfoliate dead skin cells. Fully rinse skin. Please do not use on your face as the salt may be to much for delicate facial skin: try our Aloe & Pumice exfoliating Facial Soap instead.
