PRODUCT DETAILS
Intention: To make a soap made with real lavender. Because lavender essential oils can cause cold-process soaps to accelerate too quickly, we made this soap as a hot-process soap. We improved our previous recipe (Satin Lavender Soap) by adding nourishing honey, oatmeal and a touch of rosehip seed oil! Oatmeal, Honey & Lavender Soap is both cleansing and hydrating, and has natural lavender scent!
Each bar is over 4 oz. Keep your bar soap out of water while not in use, and it could last for months. Minimal and eco-friendly packaging.
Ingredients: Olive Oil, Distilled Water, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (lye), Sunflower Oil, Castor Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Lavender Essential Oil
Why We Chose These Ingredients:
- Olive Oil - antioxidants; oleic acids and polyphenols, moisturizing and creamy lather
- Water - hydrating, and part of the soap making process
- Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) - a caustic/alkaline reagent that, when mixed with fats and water, will react (saponify) to create soap. Once cured, a properly made bar of soap will have no lye left in it when finished: it has been converted into soap.
- Sunflower Oil - rich in fatty acids and vitamin E, conditioning
- Castor Oil - high in ricinoleic acid; boosts bubbles; healing and anti-inflammatory
- Rosehip Seed Oil - high in flavonoids, vitamin C, antioxidants; regenerative to skin
- Lavender - smells so lovely! anti fungal, calming, anodyne (mild pain relief)
Use: Use as a full body soap.
