We UPDATED our Slim-T Detox this year to include a little fun! Slime T-Detox herbal tea blend is still intended to aid lymphatic and digestive systems with their normal processes. We add Blue Pea Flower (a.k.a Butterfly Pea Flower) for it's fun color-changing properties, but also because it is regarded for it's anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and circulatory effects.

Blue Pea Flower is a bit of a litmus-pH-checking herb, so this update was fun and surprising. At a Neutral pH, Blue Pea Flower infusions are Blue. When exposed to a more acidic infusion, they turn pink-purple in color. Our Slim-T Detox infusions are a little alkaline, so the color is bluish green! There are theories that a more alkaline diet or drinks can be beneficial for overall health.

Slim-T Detox can help to flush out lymphatic and digestive systems, but you need a good hydrated, nutritious diet even more. When considering any detoxification programs, it's very important to drain first, then detox. Drink plenty of water!

Why We Chose These Ingredients*:

Green Tea - high in polyphenols, may increase energy metabolism and circulation
Peppermint - great flavor, carminative, anti-inflammatory, aromatic, anti-emetic, catalyst herb
Orange Peel - decongestant, carminative, aromatic, digestive tonic, bitter (promote excretion of digestive fluids)

Chickweed - mucilaginous herb thought to break down fats*, mild appetite suppressant, emollient, nutritive
Cleavers - tonic, astringent, aperient, lymphatic, alterative (blood purifier)
Dandelion Leaf- diuretic (increases urine production and elimination), bitter, digestive tonic, source of potassium, iron, minerals, vitamins, and calcium
Fennel - carminative, aromatic, sweet
Nettle - very nourishing, kidney tonic, mast cell stabilizer, mineralizer
Red Clover - alterative, liver detoxification, lymphatic (enhances flow of lymph)
Blue Pea Flower (Butterfly Pea Flower) - anti-inflammatory, diuretic, circulation

Use: Mix contents of bag to ensure contents have not settled. Using a reusable tea bag or a strainer in a cup, add about two teaspoons of our herbal blend with eight ounces of hot (not boiling) water. Infuse for about 3-5 minutes, and then strain out the herbs.

For best results, drink extra water too: the goal with this herbal tea is to help flush out toxins so that your body can operate as designed. Dehydrated tissues reduce oxygen provided to tissues, making tissues more brittle and prone to injury. Water hydrates!
